Theater Online: Farhang Theater will reopen after 44 years and will host the show “Sheer Madness” directed by Alireza Koushk Jalali.
Farhang Hall was built in 1935 for the purpose of performing various types of music and theater. This hall is an amphitheater for music, performances and conferences related to the Pahlavi period and is located in Tehran, Hafez Street, next to Hafez Bridge and east of Vahdat Hall. This location has been registered as one of the national works of Iran on 13th of August 2005 with registration number 13078.
The designer and builder of this historical and cultural building, which has also reached the national register, was a renowned Armenian architect living in Tabriz named Eugene Aftandelians, who built prominent buildings such as Niavaran, Babol, Saad Abad, Farah Abad, Isfahan Vank Church Museum and many others.
The architectural style of this one-story building is neoclassical and the indoor space is 1.5 floors. The approximate capacity of the hall on the ground floor is 380 seats and the capacity of the balcony floor is 160 seats.

The ownership of the national work is in the hands of the Ministry of Education and now, with the favorable view of the administrators towards the category of culture and art, it is supposed to be given to art groups to perform professional shows.
The first work that will be staged in this hall from the middle of December is the show “Sheer Madness” written by German author Michael Frein and translated and directed by Alireza Koushak Jalali.
