Artists after watching “Hidden”: New blood flows in the veins of Iran’s theater

Theater Online: Alireza Koushk-Jalali, the veteran director and playwright of Iranian and German theater, and Saeed Asadi, director, playwright, and theater researcher, sat in the theater hall last night to watch the play “Hidden” written jointly by Reyhaneh Razi and Kourosh shahoune and directed by Kourosh shahoune, produced by Sajjad Afsharian at the Hamoon Theater.

At the end of this show, Alireza Koushk-Jalali said about “Hidden”: “I am very happy to have seen ‘Hidden.’ Now, I feel that new blood has been shed in the veins of Iran’s theater, whose artists shine so dynamically and energetically on stage.”

He continued: “In this work, I saw the suspensions of Hitchcock and the violence of Tarantino in the most beautiful way possible.”

Koushk-Jalali concluded: “I enjoyed playing with the actors, especially Reyhaneh Razi, and I am making every effort to invite the group ‘Hidden’ to perform if a theater festival is held in Germany.”

Saeed Asadi, also a theater director, playwright, researcher, and university lecturer, said about this theatrical work: “After watching ‘Hidden,’ I will remember this night well and pleasantly.”

He continued: “Any event that is seen on stage, with a precise harmony, aesthetic, and modern space, enriches the audience and makes them think after watching it.”

Asadi said: “I am very happy to have seen a theater whose director has climbed step by step and acted very shiningly in the field of directing. Also, the performance of the actors in the show was very pleasant, likable, and extraordinary for me.

And this long-lasting encouragement of the audience at the end of the show indicates the audience’s satisfaction with the time spent on this show, and I am sure that the audience will leave the hall with thinking and contemplation.”

He concluded: “I wish that in addition to increasing its performances inside the country, it will also shine in the international arena because such good works should always be on stage.”

“Hidden” is one of the most popular and best-selling theater shows in Iran in 2023, which has now had nearly 150 performances.

This theatrical work is performed twice a day at 18:00 and 20:00 at the Hamoon Theater.

Hamid Rahimi, Reyhaneh Razi Ata omrani, Ayat Bigham, Anahid Adabi, and Farnaz Hosseinmardi are the actors in the “Hidden” show.

It is stated in the description of this work: “Sighted humans who hide the truth are blind!”

It should be noted that the Hamoon Theater, managed by Hadi Hajazifar, is located on Palestine Street, which after four years has resumed its activity with the “Hidden” show.
